Curriculum Vitae

1999-2004 architectural studies at the RWTH Aachen University (Diplom-Ingenieur/graduate engineer)
2001-2006 studies in building history, art history and German language at the RWTH Aachen University and the WWU Münster University (Magister)

2007-2010 PhD thesis at the ETH Zurich, 2007-2009 supported by a scholarship for gifted students of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung

The thesis deals with the history of the building company Dyckerhoff & Widmann (Dywidag, formerly Lang & Co., Karlsruhe) and its importance for the establishment of concrete constructions in Germany.

There is also an article on the company in English language provided in the author’s archive (download as PDF). The thesis with a detailed catalogue of the company’s projects will be published in 2011.

Since December 2009 research assistant at the Institute of Historic Building Research and Conservation of the ETH Zurich.
